Shift click equipment transfer

I want to be able to shift click an item in my inventory and have it exchange places with something already equipped. It is aggravating to have to click and move something already equipped just to shift click the item I want. It's a considerable aggravation and time waster.

You can shift-click equipped items to the inventory though?
Right, it doesn't exchange places, it just goes into the first empty slot in your inventory.
