Villages should use icons instead of colors for setting territory permissions and authority abilities

that way the opinions of both you and your village can be displayed at the same time

Possible Icons
banner/flag <-- current villager icon
skull
crown
knife
heart
laurel
etc

I like these options. They could add a lot more depth to the political game.

A Man's Home is His Castle

you should be able to remove scents on your village. you should be the authority there, not some strangers

This is a problem how? it costs authority and if a village chooses to play that way, its up to them. they will still gain a notoriety as dead men do indeed tell tales in this game

as a trade village will want a spotless reputation, your scenario is improbable

Good god we need a kinlist for villages. I can't believe this shit hasn't been put in yet.

It's literally the worst thing to have no idea who the fuck is in your god damn village, especially if you die/ take Lawspeaker much later into a villages life.

This is needed, especially if someone wants to be able to interact fully and not be penalized with scent when they are obviously trying to help you construct/maintain your village.

Maybe expand how a "village" can work.

In a village, the chieftain/lawspeaker can create groups called "Guilds" which can contain members outside of the village.
Non-villagers are allowed the same privileges as villagers, except they aren't villagers themselves.

In a guild, one character with lawspeaker is deemed "Guild Leader/Master" and is kind of like a Guild Master.

Guild members get a icon and the Guild name listed under it.
All villagers who sees a guild member will automatically know his name and guild title.

So if a stranger sees a guild member, he can only see the icon, but the name and title of the guild is ???.

The Guild Master/Leader has the ability to expel or recruit members, and even to the point of "Outcasting" them if they are very bad.
This automatically sets all current guild members to see a "X" or something in that sense, on that outcasted member (who wouldn't be in the guild at this point).
If the outcast leaves the village, all guild members can still see the X on him (think of it as Branding).

Think of it like blacklisting, but the entire guild would know, and villagers not in the guild wouldn't get the description automatically and can't see it.

I'd like to be able to assign my own rank names to the different color/icon ranks as well, they'd only show up in the guild member list (when we get it).

And being able to rename the village for a large amount of authority.

not flexible enough, honestly.

village kinlist suggestion replaces traditional roles of chieftain and lawspeaker
