Quantity of tree products

It must not be same for all trees. For example, apple and mulberry. There is 16 apples on the image of tree, so it can be 8 apples from tree (fully grown). Mulberry is small, so it can be 16 mulberries from tree. Same applies for other trees like fir (more cones), hazelnut (more nuts) etc. Branches - 10 from one tree, for example.

I was thinking that nat/ind might affect yields but nat is already a little imba. I should like to see more variety on what each tyopeof tree yields. Perhaps willows might tield a lesser type of sticks that can be used as fuel but not for more sturdy applications liek tools and contrustion. Same for oaks, Oaks are excellent for ivy vines which could be grown for the same.

You mean like branches vs Boughs? or you mean further breaking up the branches into strong vs bendy branches?

The different trees do have different amounts of resources, already. You may have noticed that pines yield 3 branches, maples 10 and oaks 15, for example.

It is probably worth mentioning, also, that tree resources regrow when a tree is hit by the decay mechanism, so trees that are larger will regenerate faster.

Does this include the foliage, or just the trunk?

More specifically, it includes the ground area that the tree occupies. That which your character bounds against, that is.

Why decay? It's notoriously slow. Using a fixed timer like for crops would be much better.

This. Especially since we cannot tell just by looking whether a tree has fruit/branches etc.

probably because there are MANY more trees than crops, and Loftar is trying to avoid using anything but the decay cycle to mess with adult trees (the baby tree growth cycle is ok because they're less common than crops)
