Hives should work on fruit trees

As it says on the tin: beehives should regenerate apples, nuts and mulberries. It makes a ton more sense than hives working on most of the crops (well, not for nuts I guess, but whatever).

Only problem is that trees regrow fruit by random decay hits rather then on the time based system of crops. That would have to be change so their is even a growth time before beehives can shorten it, alternatively the hive could actually cause a 24 hour growth timer ware none existed before.

I was thinking the latter. This is mostly about making orchards reliable.

I would like to see them add the ability to put hives on tree stumps. That would rock, aaaaand look pretty too.

Why would it rock? Treestumps are placed pretty much randomly, aside from the aspect of this being pretty, I see no point in adding this.

Oh and also: Great idea potjeh, wanna see this ingame. Since it already has been suggested to make regrowth rates not dependant on decay but a timer or something, this would work great with it.

Agreed something needs to change for tree orchards to be viable and bees seems the simplest most logical way to do it.

Natural bees in trees please, and make it so you have to attack them to get a queen for your hive and if they sting you you die, twice.

Also please add wasps that can kill you more than twice.

The real reason why trees regenerate on decay hits rather than on a timer is because it allows me to save a ton of resources on the server, so I'm not too keen about changing that. Maybe the beehives themselves could cause decay hits on nearby trees, though.

Oh, and,

Yes. Already planned. ;)
