"Broken" state of items as compromise with decay

Postby Sidran » Sat Mar 20, 2010 11:17 pm

All those items that decay and disappear in one swoop (as cupboard and drying rack) should have additional state, namely: broken state.
In broken state those items cannot be used in any way and would disappear in 48 hours if not repaired. This would hugely help things seem
a bit more logical (and safe). My newbie idea.

This already exists. "This kiln is in too poor condition to be used."

It applies to anything that performs a task other than storage, I think.

You know what would be nice? Visual indication of this, aside from color. I mean, actually have a different graphic for the item. I'm sure this would be rather labor-intensive, but it would look nice, and that's got to count for something.
Surprise.

Then consider that we also want at least one snow overlay for all of them.

(Not saying it couldn't be done. Just that it's a lot of work.)
