Complaint about ranged hunting

Aiming is a pain.

I don't mean how slow the meter is rising. I mean actually clicking on the animal I want to kill. It seems like there is just one sweet spot that will make the aiming meter appear. The spot is different on each animal and at each angle. I can click and click -rump? no. side? no. head? no. ear? no. shoulder? no. foot? no. tail? ah! at last!- This makes an already not entirely smooth operation a little bit rougher.

It's also a real pain with lag. I click the animal. I wait. Nothing happens, meaning that I clicked the wrong spot. I click the animal. I wait. I click the animal. I wait. I click the anima.... shit! I just fired! And that fricking aiming meter never even appeared on my screen.

Today I was trying to aim at a bear that was in the top left of my screen and could I get the aiming meter to appear? No. The darned bear was half behind my own portrait and his sweet spot was invulnerable. There was a lot of him visible but not the one precise spot I needed to find. I don't mind if he is behind a tree, but when the icons make it impossible to hunt something I get a trifle exasperated.

Is there a way to fix it so that clicking anywhere on the animal will work?

Uh.... what picture?

You mean the one that appears after I have successfully aimed at the animal and got it into aggro?

However, thanks. This I did not know and it will make the subsequent shots that much easier. Much appreciated!

Yeah, that's what I meant. And I of course didn't read close enough. Whoops. :)

In general the click-sensitive locations in H&H are terribly terribly too small for everything, I don't hunt but its no surprise it has the same problem
