Runaway boar?

Postby Naerymdan » Sat Mar 27, 2010 12:03 am

I know all the little techniques for cheap killing, from boxing the animal to boxing oneself or combining the two with a partner:

You pilbox yourself, attack then partner has easy game boxing attacking animal.

But even calling them cheap, that's the only way to kill with ranged.

Now boars (and i presume bears) will attack the other player, making boxing boars nigh impossible, but, why not? Fine.

But then, they run away at low HP. And run. and run, and run. They only stop if you 'declare peace' and lose all the LP from the damage you did before.

So what now? We can't use ranged attack against moving target except at insanely high mm levels. Bring them inside a palisade before killing them?

I sometimes hunt boar on a narrow spit of land near where I live.
Once they run when they reach the water you can box them in.
This only works if they run in the correct direction.
