Spindly taproots hunger reduced?

Postby Thijssnl » Wed Mar 31, 2010 1:14 pm

It may have been the Q, but thats not hunger related afaik.
On a wilderness alt I found some taproot, and ate it. It filled 4%, instead of 10%. Update or ?

Is it that difficult to find another one to eat to experiment?

It's in the wiki as 10, not 10%. 10 == 1%

    Hunger

    This has five levels: Starving (0-49%), Very Hungry (50-79%), Hungry (80-89%), Full (90-100%), Overstuffed (>100%), where the number represents the right most number in the mouse over. 10 units of hunger represent 1%, thus a food that recovers 40 units of hunger will increase the right most number by 4%. If you are at the Starving level, your character will slowly lose HHP. If you are at the Overstuffed level, you will only be able to move at a crawl. 1% of hunger can replace 5% of stamina.
What was your hunger when you ate it? Starving, Very Hungry, Hungry, Full?

As I understand it, the two numbers that hover when you mouse over the hunger bar are the % for that particular hunger level and then in brackets, your overall hunger. 10 is only 1% for your "overall" hunger but may be a lot more or less for any of the other levels.

K, I took a look at the wiki and I misread, but still sure it healed 10*%* earlier..

Anyway, so much for making an unarmed pure str alt with next to no str or FEP less food available.

I found myself with insanely fast-rising strength when I fished a lot (got literally tonne of brill), but I haven't tried since the new fishing system... hasn't seemed worth doing, especially as my fields of carrots / wine are big enough to keep me constantly full (though they also make my perception overshoot all my other stats by about 10 points).

As for the spindly taproot, it's not even worth eating it. And I have no use for them as string anymore, so I usually just leave them in the ground.
