Stealing from other Hearthlings

So we have a Thievery skill, why not improve it?

On the Adventure tab, put a new button called "Sneak" this will make it so other hearthlings can't see or hear you, but will still be able to see your shadow. Depending on your Stealth skill, and the victim's Exploration skill, you will either get caught, or be successful.

When you are stealing an item you need time, if your target moves while the action is being performed, you will be exposed and a battle will initiate. You can either just run away, or fight for your life.

If you have successfully stolen the item, a decoy will appear in the victim's inventory. This will last for 5 minutes, enough for you to make your getaway. After the 5 minutes have gone past the victim will be informed that they have been stolen from and like all other crimes, a scent is left on the scene.

So what do you think?

Disagree. H&H already geared towards thieves. The world is large and scarcely populated, making it very easy to hide. If you have high stealth, you won't even leave a trackable scent. And if you live a good distance away, you may never be caught even with a scent.

What we don't need, are (unrealistically) invisible thieves which can leave false scents :x

Sneaking already exists in game, by using terrain and buildings to your advantage. Invisibility is not a fun or interesting game mechanic.

Unless the guy you're sneaking up on is using a client that renders hearthlings above terrain. Man, I hate how stealth died :(

Or can see through trees walls and buildings... or everything...

a man need only strike another to make him evil."
