Reinforce palisade

To prevent the many people who have found themselves with accidental palisade-prisons, why not make the wall reasonably easy to destroy until you manually "reinforce" each section and make it a full wall? And possibly make this option only appear after a few hours or so to make it more difficult for griefers.

It strikes me as odd that something you so easily built a few seconds ago can't be deconstructed short of charging it with a battering ram.

No amount of coding will prevent people from being stupid, you are just making things more complicated.

that sounds like it would kill my wrist

how about upgrading fences to palisades? still bad but at least you wouldnt have to kill each section of fence first

Or just build six fences on top of each other for a two-fence thick and three-fence high low palisade? :P

Why not just have it so you can disassemble walls easily if they are on your claim? Also for villages let the law speaker have the same power over walls in the village.

My problem with that is that if someone's claim doesn't reach the wall (and often it doesn't, or the wall is in fact being used to protect areas which aren't protected by their claims), the intruder can simply claim a portion of wall, destroy it, and then declaim when they're done.

You really should be claiming your walls. There is no excuse not to, given the amount of LP granted from making them.

Originally, I actually only erected a wall to protect my well and the leather-working etc. stuff placed around it for convenience. It was way outside my claim at that time.
