Peashooters and stuff

Well.. Those peas got me thinking of pea-shooters, blowguns, consequently of poison darts..
Here's what I came up with:

Blowgun: needs 1 block of wood, 1 leather. No damage, slow aim (bit slower than wooden bow?).
Dried peas: Produced in herb table. Hitting your target with a dried pea reduces their init points to zero.
Poison dart: needs a bone, and a toad. Reduces the target's learning rate to the minimum (as with full tradition/martial) for 6 hours.

The game would be pretty sad if shooting peas at people was a usefull attack.

here are the problems I see:

1) While reducing init would be usefull, with the current interface trying quickly switch from peashooter to your real weapon would be hell.

2) Reducing lp gain is useless in battle, it would just be used by griefers to piss people off.

3) In order for poison darts to work we would need poison first, and we've been asking for poison pretty much forever.

Well.. I thought more in the direction of making archers useful in group PvP, they would not need to switch weapons. They could combine it with UA too.

I did not intend this one for standard PvP situations.
You should always be wary of people trying to snipe you, with or without peashooter. The peashooter should have a long aiming time, to give the target opportunity to spot the sniper.
I thought it would be a nice weapon against macroing hearthlings, and to a lesser degree a tactical weapon to harass your opponents.

I guess coding in an 'effect on hit' wouldn't be too hard, since buff effects already exist.

You can hide behind a rock so people can't target you while you snipe at them. Or at least you could last time I checked.
But lp rate reduction would really suck. Griefers would go around sniping farmers and stopping them from gaining any significant lp for a hour or two, return and shoot them again.
