Bone Knife

In my opinion, there needs to be more skinning tools. It's hard to get a high q stone axe since high q stones or branches are somewhat hard to get. So the solution is a Bone Knife, it would be made from a bone and a branch, this would also serve as a weapon. Since high q bones are easier to obtain, this would easily solve skinning problems.

You just said high Q branches are hard to get. I'd replace the branch with leather or rabbit fur, as most bone knife were just sharpened bones with wrappings on the hilt so you could hold it.

What about a metal knife based on the ancient, all-purpose knife which was used by many germanic-based people (forget what it's called). But, players could equip it to their belts so that they have a "sharp" implement to butcher/skin after hunts and a sharp implement for other tasks.

Yes, I think a metal knife that gives a buff to skinned item Q would be pretty cool, they should probably both have minor attack capabilties and the ability to clip onto belts.

But I hope this would be the high-tech alternative to the bone knife, which, as described, is much more obtainable.

This is a good idea except it would be kind of awkward. The tool would be able to keep increasing it's own quality to a certain point. You skin something and make a knife, and then skin something better, which lets you make a better quality knife and so on. Which could be a while considering the cap between animals killed with high survival but skinned with a q10 axe.

Actually it makes sense to me, you find a animal, kill it, use it to make a better knife, go kill a better animal. Sounds a little like lp grinding to me. But then again it might get a little out of hand, maybe it should require leather so you need good skills to make a good knife? I'm kinda in the dark about how Q works. Still I kind of like the idea of making a knife for skinning animals out of skinned animals.
