Battering Rams

Postby ThirdEmperor » Fri Apr 16, 2010 11:29 pm

This is getting annoying, fast. I found a decaying battering ram next to a decaying palisade, so I boiled up some glue and went to fix it, problem is, while waiting for the glue to dry it decayed again, I can understand making battering rams take a while to build so you can't just pull one out of your pocket and smash down a wall, but making it unusable for a hour every time it's repaired sucks.

Please make battering rams repairable with wooden blocks or boards instead, this is really frustrating. :x

I am not sure why we would want it to be even easier for people to break down palisades.

That said, I wouldn't expect this to be an issue very often. If someone is coming to attack a palisade, they probably have built a fresh battering ram. If an attack fails, I would expect the palisade owner to destroy the ram no matter how long it took.

You have to wait for a newly built battering ram to dry as well, and it can/will decay while you wait.

Why would you want to make it easier to break down walls? So griefers and raiders have an easier time raiding and griefing? This is why jorb and loftar implemented this, so you couldn't just break down a wall in a few minutes and so the person being attacked would actually stand a chance.
I like apple juice.

AT least you admit that raiders do not automatically equate griefing, like most of the community in this game

I'm not saying it shouldn't have a cool down time after it's built, but it brakes whenever I touch it, and then I have to wait two hours for the glue to dry from the repairs so I can move it 1 tile before it brakes again.
