Web money

Postby Aspero » Wed Apr 21, 2010 6:11 am

Well... I want to speak about button "Donation".
You know, it links to the paypal system...
I guess, it is not enough flexible decision...
For example, I am too lazy to make credit card (+some other reasons)... But web money are pretty easy to operate. And making wallet takes about 10 minutes...
So... If it is possible, I'd like to see web money wallet number for donation.
(If you have something like partnership with pay pal - you can send it me in pm:)
p.s. I mean developers, not everyone ^_^)

Up.

Well... I guess my opinion equals to opinion of the majority of russian players.
Pay Pal is not very popular in Russia... While Web Money service is pretty familiar and widespread.

So if you create Web Money wallet, many russian players can thank you for nice game :)

I've never heard of web money, is that like. International-specific or something?

yep.

Well that would explain why I never heard of it. I'm not sure if Paypal still allows it but you can or used to be able to pay without having a paypal account or being logged in by providing valid enough information. Have you tried that?

You still have to use credit card to pay... That's why, all the games, having only pay pal service are closed to me.

Anyway, I guess it is in game developers interest to give users more ways of donations... That's kinda strange: persuading them to help me spend my money...

Oh? I guess they changed it as a while back I knew people paying by paypal not requiring a credit card I coulda' swore..

Anyways. The people I know that have Paypal don't have a credit card to make an account. if I recall correctly, you only need a credit card if you want to receive the physical paypal card but not to buy/sell things online.

It might only be North America where you can link it to your bank account and I think paypal had trouble with people making 10-100 accounts to go with one of those "watch ad receive penny and refer friends to receive a penny for every 20 ads they watch sites" that were popular a year or so ago.
