Lasso, ability to throw a rope... However you wanna call it

As logs sometimes end up in places where you cant get them, I came up with the idea of being able to make a lasso.
Because, when logs end up lying in the water, swimming could work (never tried it out trough). But still, I'ts extremely dangerous and not everyone can swim... But water isn't the only place where logs can end up, and where you can't catch them. It also happens often that they end up on places where there is no possibility to catch them, like cliffs. Wouldn't it be handier if you actually could get those logs instead of standing there, thinking "I can never get those logs".

That's why I've got an idea to be able to use a lasso of some sort to catch stuff on places where you can't get them. Same goes for boats that lie in the water, or stuff thats out of reach for you. You could even use them to catch players (Altrough that's not the main purpose I was thinking about). You can already use ropes to use "Quell the beast", why not give it other possibilities...

you can pick up the entire log in the boat too no need to even chop it.

But still, you can't get logs when they are stuck on cliffs, or when they are sstuck on stones without crafting the stone in something else. And it's also handy if you can catch other players with it, altrough it's not my main intention.

I like the idea of a lasso... I was rafting my wagon, and the little basterd cow ambled over onto a claim, and now i'm just waiting for the little dope to saunter into free land so i can get it... a lasso would be GREAT in this occasion... I'd say maybe only let it be effective over a short length (ten tiles?), but perhaps that isn't necessary.

Yeah, but there is talk of this being removed when boats are 'better'.
