Let wagons carry troughs and boats

Postby Onionfighter » Tue May 11, 2010 9:40 pm

So I built a wagon, but I am worried about my cow starving. It would be much more helpful if I could carry a trough in it. Also, it would be useful to be able to carry some kind of boat.

There definitely needs to be something to allow cows to eat while pulling the wagon (or during downtime). My plan to get around it during my recent trek was to bring seeds to shove into a trough built on-site, but I made it all in one go so I don't know how that worked.

My (evidently) pregnant cow got to about 3/4 starved over the course of the trip, which was probably eight hours or so all told. I dunno how long a bull or non-pregnant cow would last, though .

How about a leather-made feeding strap that you attach to the cow's mouth?

Being able to carry troughs would be cool, but maybe only when empty?

Would you load a trough full of cow feed with no way to cover or close it in a wagon?

In that case, carry on.

Don't we already keep troughs out in the open, anyways?

Well, the animals have to eat from it. I'm talking about putting it in a wagon with a bunch of stuff and other people, while traveling on non-level terrain. :|

I thought cows were capable of grazing if they had access to enough grass?

Failing that I reckon muzzle bags full of grain would be rad
