Tobacco box

Postby DreadPL » Sat May 15, 2010 5:42 pm

Hello. I have an interesting idea. Some players like smoking tobacco, I have quite a nice field of tobacco and I like smoking it. It's problematic however if you want to carry some tobacco with you (it just take to much space if you take several "piles").
What would you say to add Tobacco boxes? You would need carpentry for it, you use one board and one piece of leather and you get a small box (1x1 in inventory) which can carry 6 (2x3) piles of tobacco? It would be helpfull for smokers but also for those who trade tobacco.

What do you think?

Love it

I could see it being like a leather pouch of some kind with a drawstring, just like a seedbag, but you could store tobacco, buds, and boar snuff in it instead.

It would be classy to make it out of a silk cloth and a silk thread, but then it'd be wayy too valuable for what it is, so.... :(

Well, I think it can be either box or bag (made in the same way as seedbag). It's no difference. The idea is to have a container for tobacco.

Add ability to store pipe (most convenient place for it, is in not)

Remove tea leaves (you don't smoke tea), instead allow ~5 tea to be compressed into 'bricks' perhaps requiring a piece of parchment to do so, averages quality of leaves and can be 'split' just like a wood block to get back tea leaves.

I'm bumping this, because it's an awesome idea.

This is an excellent idea, as i know i will be an avid smoker of tobacco.

I'm wondering if perhaps one could have a 'tobacco pouch' for cured tobacco, and a 'cigar box' to store cigars.

As I understand it, tobacco reduces travel weariness, so perhaps cigars can restore it at an improved rate? (Or have some other benefit?)

And that, but 10 units of tea leafs please (costing one parchment which is lost when unpacked).
Will only be useful for trade anyway (because why store tea leafs when you can directly store hot tea).
