Funerals, Graves, Grave Robbers, and Skeletons

The Funeral
A simple ceremony where you take the corpse of a player, but it one of the following grave types, and are awarded a little LP.

-Pyre
The easy grave. Made out of blocks, boards, and branches, you build a pyre, put a body on it, and light it with a lit torch. After it finishes burning, there is nothing but ash, so you can reuse the ground. Possibly make it so that anyone who is nearby when it is lit gets LP as well as the lighter.
-Grave
The hard grave. Made out of stones, boards, and lots of stamina. Put the body in a coffin with some belongings, put it in the grave, fill it with soil (which is added to your inventory while building), and it leaves behind a gravestone, or a cairn (pile of rocks), or whatever. Then you can pray at the grave for a some LP.
-Grave Robbing
Add it to the skills, or just use theft as the skill. Dig up a grave, crack open the coffin, and take whatever you want from inside. You could even rebury it if you want. Probably leave a scent for theft or desecration.
-Skeletons
We already have them. Make it useful. Break em up into Bones and a Skull. Then make things like a Skull-on-a-Stick to decorate your evil liars.

Nothing would look nicer in an evil mountain fortress than enemy skulls on the palisade cornerposts.

Sounds good.

We should definitely have burial and such, but I'd say rather than being something you do just for LP, it should be do something for reincarnation and/or ancestor worship. Maybe burying someone could give them a post-mortem step towards tradition?

Possibly the one who is buried could also gain back a little percentage of his ancestors LP (his ancestor finally rests in peace)? Maybe an additional 10% or something.

i have thought of those, but the question of what-if appears: what if they reincarnate before they are given a funeral? i mean, the LP thing probably won't be a problem, but the tradition thing, although i can see it working if it applies before they reincarnate, if they are in the middle of playing and someone finds and buries their body, they might have full change and suddenly wind up with a new slider setting. still, i am open to discuss these ideas and see if there is a good way to make 'em work.

nope. would never burn the body down to ash without some type of accelerant. i just burned my dead cat on a pyre and we needed oil to make it burn proper.
i guess they never miss huh

Some form of doing the exact opposite would be needed then too.

and are awarded a little LP.

Is the easyest way to gain something, but also to give more pleasure on killing. You kill all noobs you meet, then you bury them. "Lolol double lp Lolol." And also if we say "you can gain lp only by dead kins" the griver will kill noobs kins easy 8D.

Here my idea:

Should be better if the dead of a kin influence Happyness, and bury him heal your happyness (when it will have an effect) and give a bonus the dead man. When buryed, the dead main gain lp for his next chara, and also if the new chara is already alive, he gain lp the same. No bug arounds then. A % of the max lp he had with his dead chara (max 1/3).

here fix well the skill "Prayer" or the value "Spirit". (i prefer a value, so one can emprove it). More high is spirit value, more lp you give to the dead man when you bury him (max 1/3).
So a big town or a small town could have a new type of chara in the village. The Prayer Man. (i don't know the exact name of the Prayer Man..XD but i hope you understood what it is)

Yes, the prayer don't gain anything in it. But it is right because in a village, usually you gain a new man already skilled instead of a noob. Bury someone is kindess, and bury an unknow body isn't necessary (like it was in real), but if you wanna be kind, you bury him.
If you wanna gain a man in a village that is dead, you bury him.
