Grand Feast - Expanding Symbel and fun foods

Postby Zekeen » Mon May 24, 2010 2:16 am

So, I a haven't tried a feast yet, but I've prepared for one, and while hunting boars and lifting them over my head, I get a few thoughts and such on a fun way to add a bit of an interesting element to the idea of the feast of Symbel.

An exotic feast using some foods not normally prepared for villagers. These foods would be such as more exquisetely prepared and fun stuff, like an entire roasted boar!

The idea behind this is to add in exotic foods and prepared foods and create a unique and fun type of feast.

Add in a large Spit Fire that is used for roasted whole boars and chickens for use in this feast. There would be a big metal requiring lavish table for this type of feast which must be loaded with one of the more expensive foods to allow a feast. Each "tick" the table divides out the FEP and hunger fill among all people present, BUT, the more present, the bigger the bonus mod is. Also, the more types of food present, the more the mod is, so having just a roast boar by yourself is no mod, but having a boar, with whole chicken, and wine with 3 friends gives a big mod.

So to just give a simple explanation in case this was too poorly constructed to understand -

Allow us to build a large expensive table that allow us to hold a feast that uses bizaar and exotic kingly foods that deals out the FEP and hunger based on the pool of items in it and with a bonus mod based on the number of exotic food present and number of people at this table. Also, this table must have a large roasted pig with an apple in it's mouth when you put the roast boar in it. It's be nice to see the table look more filled when you add more types of food to it. This also let's villages have a fun little get together event ^_^

you know, when i was a kid i had this cool book called "a medieval feast" that talked about the extravagant days-long feasts they had. they'd get like, a peacock, and pluck the feathers and stuff it with chickens or something and roast the whole thing and then put the feathers back on it and serve it on a big platter.

so yeah, a bear stuffed with a boar stuffed with a fox stuffed with a chicken. yumm-o.

Now why would you ruin a good meal like that? Unless you are implying that they will implement garlic

We should be able to lather on exotic spices as well, so whole roast boar with orange sauce and herbal stuffing shoved up its butt.
