There are alot of reasons to have one :)

Alts should truly give people penalties. This is not Dwarf Fortess.

How? It's a new account, they can't know if you're making an alt, or just a second account to play whilst afk on main account.

I just said i don't appreciate alts, that's all. No idea of how fixing it, no anything - i just don't like alts.

i also don't like alts, but since everyone uses them for everything, they're unavoidable... yeah i know, real nice permadeath you got there when you can pump up a new alt in a week

on the subject at hand, castles and such

i would like to see, if not fortresses and keeps, a wall that blocks LOS and that you can walk on, i have definitely seen all this written in great detail in another thread, but i'll still say some things, it would give a reason to be make walls impenetrable to small pebbles fired from a sling, and more of a risk to break into a palisade, if you can't see the other side, who know's what's in there, perhaps you could have ladders or some kind of siege tower, giving the game multiple levels and allowing you to gain a vantage point from which you can see further, shoot better and be better defended, i guess that all this would give a reason to make archers more powerful, i'm not experienced enough to say definitively, but as far as i know, archers aren't of great use in sieges, sure they can shoot over... i mean through... palisades and brick walls but they are stopped in their tracks by decent armor...


on the subject of kings, we're edging into the medieval period here, which isn't very haven and hearth, but perhaps more in the way of chieftain gear, rather than a hat which won't protect you at all and gives you a charisma boost... some actual armour, a whole set with boosts to not only you, but villagers in your vicinity, some sort of "inspiration" buff, filling you with vigor at the sight of your oh so gracious leader.

There is no fixing it and nothing needs to be fixed.

The game is more of a MMORTS than of a MMORPG now. THAT needs to be fixed.

And adding castles will just make it worse. I like the idea, but there needs to be a massive change to the system to make it work. (A change has been promised, but no word on when or what.

Good ideas , especialy the throne, they should make like a clan hall too with big table for everyone to eat at the same time
