I never use gauzes because I always need the hat slot. Leeches do the job just fine.
Vapntreyiu is quite simply not worth it. Everyone ditches it when they get a ranger shirt. Hell, even nettle shirt is a better choice.
Necromancer's robe, lawspeaker robe etc are quite simply useless.
So far the only use I've found for wool is making ropes (I don't use candles). I'm keeping sheep for their meat, so might as well use the free string.
In conclusion, there is very little use for wool, and zero use for high q wool. So, we need some useful woollen items whose q is relevant. I'd start by giving a major boost to Vapntreyiu and adding woollen hat, pants and boots to go with it. It obviously won't be nearly as good for protection as metal armour, but combined with leather armour it would allow one to make a metal-less set that lets him survive one hit of a sword. That's still fairly crummy, though, so I think every peace of wool gear should give a bit of unarmed skill (because unarmed works well for people who don't have metal for a sword). Nothing too crazy, but still respectable (say, +5 unarmed for every piece @ q10). In addition to that, there should be woollen cloth, which would replace linen for some high-end crafting (say, ranger gear for example). Generally, wool should be somewhere in between linen and silk, perhaps closer to silk because raising it's q is a more involved process than raising linen q.
