Wanderer/Settler Belief

I think we should add a new belief slider Travel/Home, at full Travel teleporting costs half Travel Weariness but you take -10 to all combat skills while inside your personal or village claim, at full Home you take double Travel Weariness but get +10 to all combat stats inside your village or personal claim. Whaddaya think?

Reason: clearer title. "new" does not tell us anything useful

Sounds horrible, but having said that both sides of the slider are mechanics that I would like to see removed, or dramatically altered.

Oh, I forgot to mention that when I said -10/+10 to combat skills I meant it would give the equivelent increase to damage recieved/dealt, not a actuall increase to the skills, which are just stupid.

It's just not logical at all. What reason should I ever have to choose between Traveling and Fighting? They aren't complete alters, or even partial alters.

I would say just say to have it + agi the more you go in the positive direction and minus it if you go the opposite way. I don't see why it should effect anything else other then that skill. The only problem with this is that then everyone would just go positive so.. perhaps putting some other effect into play if they go the other way that would counteract a minus in Agi but i'm not sure what. Maybe a boost in INT?

Come to think of it, the slider should probably make scents on your claim easier/harder to spot instead of giving combat bonuses/penalties.

scents are already pretty easy to spot though. and thats such a binary mechanic anyways, a likelier method (if you wanted to do that at all) would have it influence the number of scents

It actually is quite logical. Someone who is constantly traveling would be less effected by the fatigue of the action, but not being home would hinder their ability to defend it, while someone who rarely left would be much more apt to defend it while feeling more "homesick" or tired after traveling. You spend a lot of time at home and you have a greater desire to defend it. You only sleep there on the weekends and you wouldn't give it much more thought then a hotel you frequent on business trips.

All in all though, I don't see a major need for it.
