Tow Cart for easier boat carrying

Summary:
There are many times that a hearthling needs to make a trip towards a chosen destination and the quickest way to reach there is through a rowboat. However, due to the random nature of the terrain, sometimes detours on land are necessary. This includeds a ranger or squad trying to hunt a perpretrator, explorers trying to map the terrain or search for new resources, or simply a trader that is trying to reach Constantinople.

Problem:
Simply put, the speed of walking with a giant boat on the head is crawling speed which is very aggravating for the mentioned above. Given the size of the world, it will extend the travel time by a large margin. This is an annoyance, to different type of players of the game:

  • Rangers- More than likely they will need to traverse land as the scent pointing towards hearthfire or perpretrator especially if the direction of the scent starts to deviate. indicating their target is close.
  • Mappers- Well considering the fact that they must traverse land in order to map it, boat carrying will be a necesity which may include supplies in a container.
  • Resource hunter- Many resources may be discovered at the water but some of the more potent ones may be found best upon land, particular soil and acre clay.
  • Trader- Because of the hassle of moving through potent land, traders may not perform trade routes if it is too much of a inconvieniance. Even those that are planning to trade at Constantinople must make a journey towards the center of the world to receive a sign.

Solution:

We already have some features on wheels that made things easier for hearthlings, the cart for inner city transporting or on road connections and the wagon for large scale medium transportation as well as a mean for nomads to live. The solution I propose are also on wheels, albeit smaller ones, the tow cart (crappy name, I know but I cannot figure the real name). You can place a liftable, particularly the boat, on top of it before using the "pull" option to pull the tow cart behind you with the cargo you want. The tow cart itself is a liftable and can be transported when not needed but it is not a liftable if there is something on it (more for limiting the tow cart in tow cart in tow cart loop).

The sole intent for this is to make traveling on land less tedious and short if desired though it may be used for more inventive means. The mechanics of the tow should operate similar to the mechanism of the cow-wagon, the plow-playe, or the player-cart. The justification is that many civilization uses a bit of a form of this mechanism, particularly the egyptions in building the pyramid.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

Being successful isn't just about hard work and succeeding, it is also about picking yourself up when you fail.

i agree that there should be something like this. either as described in the op, or the ability to put a boat in a regular cart (taking up 2 spaces), or just attaching a damn rope and dragging it over land. carrying a boat + crash = raeg.

Turn wagon/cart storage into something like our usual storage. Make boats take up 3 spaces so people don't nest boats inside of boats. Problem solved.

i agree that just having a boat be able to store inside a cart/wagon would be a good thing. however, i place my vote that the boat should be 2x2 for storage (4 slots in a square, just in case anyone didn't past elementary math... :D )
