Repairing

Postby burgingham » Tue Jun 15, 2010 11:58 pm

I just noticed that repairing a brickwall is a huge pain. Not only do you have to repair every single tile (which has been discussed before and seems not so trivial to solve). You also just don't see which tiles are damaged and which are not. It would be nice to intensify the colours here quite a bit so you can easily notice which tiles are damaged without having to hope for the highlight when you hide behind walls to show you wether repair is needed or not.

Red Bricks and Red damage don't go well either.

Alternatively you can have the option to see the 'HP bar' of any structure you hover over for a moment of time maybe. The red damage red brick problem also somewhat applies to any structures with bricks including ovens, smelter, crucibles, and finery forge.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

Being successful isn't just about hard work and succeeding, it is also about picking yourself up when you fail.

Protip: if you hold a mansion construction cursor over both yourself and the walls/ovens/whatever, it'll show their outlines.

But yeah, it'd be neat if we had a less convoluted way to do this.

When items are behind others they show an outline. If the item is damaged it's an orange outline.

Just make that toggle-able for when not-behind-others.

it would be nice if the overlay color was customizable in the options menu.
