So I was just thinking, why not have "food additives" that you can add to another food, that will boost it by a certain percentage of FEPs.
Some additive examples, some already in game:
lemon and vinegar (to fish and chicken and other meats, works raw or cooked)
wine (to meats, when you're cooking them)
poppy seeds (to breads)
salt (to sausages, meat, stews, and other stuff ... salt mines would be kind of interesting, especially if salt gave a lot of additive FEP)
pepper (to lots of things)
parsely (to lots of things)
So like, wine and vinegar is somewhat highgrade so they might boost the item's FEP by 10-20%. Poppyseeds on the other hand, maybe just give one additional FEP point. All mines are hard to get by, so would salt, so it would boost it by, say, 40%. I was imagining parsley and pepper being a wild plant like blueberries and such are, so maybe like 5% bonus.
The way you'd combine the items is just drag it and land it over the item you want to combine it to, kind of how one drags a water bucket over a cup to fill it. For foods that need to be cooked, combine, and then cook. I wouldn't want H&H to have to draw all these items, so it would be easy if the item name just changed from "Bread" to "Bread + poppyseed", OR ... if you are able to stack additives (i.e. put 20 salts on it, and cook it with wine and then add pepper, or whatever), then simply something like, "Bread - 40%" indicating the FEP bonus it has.
