New Skill Water-working

Postby monsterbrum » Sat Jun 26, 2010 3:07 pm

I don't know if the bridge making ability is possible and so the un dig thing, But at least the dig a river thing.
If you dig a river and its 2 hexes or closer to and other river it fills immediately if it doesn't you'll have to fill it yourself or you have to find a underground water spot, like with the well.

Oké forgot the bridges than. :(

Thankes,

Bram

This would fall under terraforming.

Terraforming has issues because loftar won't do it without doing a dynamic liquid system, which is something he won't do yet (or at all?).

I would rather see multiple skills instead of one lump one called water-working; irrigation for building simple canals, engineering for bridges, milling for watermills, etc. But I agree, in its current incarnation, there probably isn't much point since water doesn't flow anywhere, crops don't need water, and an elevation system for passable bridges or advanced constructions is non-existant.

Once the core problems are addressed, then seeing all of these would be great.

I agree with gollugolu, but in real crops need water. Its really important for them just look at the Nile in Egypt

Oh, great, now some idiots will make a moat all the way around our camp and then make sure we have no wood to make bridges.

YAY.
