'Bars' are gay, and while they should exist as an option I'd much rather prefer being able to see the effects over my character instead, such as sweat or something when his stamina is drained, a bloated look when overstuffed, etc.
However as mentioned the whole GUI really needs an overhaul ^ ^;
To start:
Map detachable, zoomable preferably but not necessarily, should be movable (I prefer top right corner, I'm sure others prefer other places)
Chat separate from everything else and more intuitive -MOVABLE-
The little skill shortcut bar should be movable itself, it should also default to the KEYPAD numbers (As well as it's own shortcuts and eventually people being able to make their own shortcuts)
The typical bar should stay the same but if chat is -MOVED- should be the only thing to stay on the bottom of the screen
All GUI elements should be attachable to the action bar (that also has that little semi-circle).
Something similar to Maple Story (yes, yes, it's a terrible game but they got everything right Chat-wise/Shortcut-wise) would be lovely.
