Beginners Pool/Pool

Okay, you got to hear me out on this one, I think this would be a GREAT idea for the game.
Swimming is considered the ''suicide'' skill, but what if there was a easier way to learn it, and safer.
Hear me out. :D

What if, you could dig a hole, then fill it with water! A.K.A a pool. Then, once you have more resources, you can upgrade it, by paving it, adding a board, or simply increasing it's size. The pool would have to be maintained, obviously. (Also, this could lead to the idea of having ducks or swan as pets.)
Please consider this.

Also want.

And perhaps someday also the devs will create for us the natural pond, the stream and the hot springs? For the hearthlings at this time there are not the good bathing facilities. I think it is a lack. Now we may only bathe in the shallow water and unless we are upon a lake it is narrow and not the most agreeable. There is also no privacy because it can only be done where there cannot be the fence or the building.

Hooray! My idea is taking notice.
Now all we need is a official to come check this out.

The pool would be great, also, how about swimming increased happiness (If it doesn't already.)
Anyway, I would also suggest that quality of the water put in determines how quicker your swimming increases, how much happiness you can get, and the cleanliness of your character.
Of course, tiles and decorations would also increase this factor.

No. Sounds like you are trying to turn the game into The Sims.

I do agree with the idea of natural ponds, a form of terrain which consists only on shallow water tiles. But pools? No.
Also, happiness does nothing as of now.

Uhm... =o
Swimming in a pool makes it like the Sims?
Uh.. just because you can make a pool, doesn't mean you are playing the Sims.
We can cook, are we playing the Sims?
We can have branches of professions, we are playing the Sims?
We can make houses, and sleep in them, we are playing the Sims?
That is your logic, and I don't agree with it, honestly.
I'm aware happiness does nothing yet, the game is still in Alpha, if you haven't noticed.
Just because some of us want to make generic pools of water, doesn't mean this game is now Sims. Please reconstruct your logic.

You completely missed his point.

And I don't think it would fit in too well. The most advanced thing you can do in the game is probably smithing, so a pool would seem out of place.

Sigh, you didn't honestly think I med a modern-pool, did you?
A modern-functioning pool wouldn't fit in at all, I'm talking about a hole filled with water, and possibly filled with tile.
