Animals leave a scent

So, i was thinking while killing a boar and then them running away, there could be a skill called "Animal Tracker" were you can track a scent to a animal that has been injured. This would help with boars running away if you cant catch up to them and other animals that run away, your opinion?

methods of tracking animals have been suggested before, but this one sounds pretty good.

at first i didnt like it (as i just read the heading), as i imagined tons of scents lying around.

but as it is just from hurt animals, im really positive about it.
those scents would just endure half an hour (just a suggestion) or till the animal is dead

no more loosing a good lvlX animal because it runs like a chicken... wonderful

Here's a tip. Drop combat, immediately run after it (keep dropping it if it's a bear or boar that reaggros, since it'll keep fleeing). Walk right up to it, and punch it; should be a guaranteed hit since it's fleeing. You won't get full LP, but it's better than having it flee, and getting none.
