Mini-Stake Claims

Postby SilentFisher » Sun Jul 18, 2010 6:38 am

I've noticed that early on in gaining Learning Points, or being without any eyes to scope out where exactly you're extending your Stake Claims to (once it expands off-screen), a lot of LP can be wasted on areas you did not see, or that are not lined up with your building area - such as lakes, rivers, etc.

I had the idea of maybe having Mini-Stake Claims, that can only be placed within the area of the original Stake. Once placed though, they can expand in specific directions from that point, instead of from the original Stake. To keep from abuse, the LP needed for the Mini-Stake Claims could be much higher, or resources needed to make it increased.

Any thoughts or comments on the idea?

Oh wow. Haha. I feel dumb now. I had no clue you could do that with Ctrl+L. I never found anything about it on the Wiki or anywhere. Thanks for letting me know.

EDIT: The Claim doesn't work with Ctrl+L. It just tells me "This function has been deprecated."

Walking on claim while stake menu is opened doesnt closes stake menu.

I know now that you can move without the window closing. But that is besides the point now. The fact of what I'm trying to say is, that Land Management (unless it is a problem on my end) will not work. It would help select individual tiles and directions, but seems to have been removed as a function.

Walk up to your stake, open the menu, walk within your claim.

Ctrl+L is used just to se the grid

That has already been established, and still has nothing to do with my idea.
