House outlines

It'd be nice if there was a toggle-able outline of things that you are building, especially houses. I find it'd be nice if I knew where I was going to have my new log cabin. This post isn't very developed, but then again, neither is this idea. If this is posted before, I want you to know I tried searching house outline

You mean instead of a tiny construction post in the middle and an invisible blocked area around it? Sounds like a plan. I guess a few new sprites would be necessary for this, if people want to submit some.

Maybe solution could be to render the non-finished buildings with reduced opacity (20%?) ?

Only if it will can be switched off.
The problem is that sprite of the building will block the space "after" just like completed one.
Maybe only square should be visible like with claimed zone.

Well, I maybe not have stated my idea clearly. Gilbertus' idea is closest to my original idea.

Maybe just a "chalk outline" on the pavement? In yellow, or black, or...whatever, just showing the space you are unable to walk into.
