TOOL BELT (yeah, yeah, i know)

Postby blainemono » Fri Jul 23, 2010 11:25 am

lots of people suggested tool belts as a mini-container for tools

personally i think that's a lame idea, but how about this: if you have a tool belt equipped, you can use any tool from your inventory without putting it into the hand slot

it's great, eh?

eh?

also, why don't you need a sharp tool to butcher cattle? that looks pretty ugly if you think about it

Lots of small things I disagree with there and much better prefer the orginally proposed tool belt which actually holds the equipment.

The only point that I support here is the auto-equip per task feature, but then only if a free hand(s) is available and if the required tool is present in the belt slot.

You do need a sharp tool equipped to butcher cattle... am I missing something here?

Tool belt as a container doesn't make much sense, HnH being medieval and all that.

I mean, we don't have screwdrivers, monkey wrenches and other smaller tools and putting a stone axe, a saw and a scythe on the belt is pretty daft.

Now, on the other hand, a belt that just makes using tools easier is a nice addition, since all it does is automate some pretty mindless actions.

Nope, you don't. I've just butchered a bull, then couldn't skin it because of no axe.

Ah, you did not butcher it, you slaughtered it.
