PvP changes

PvP right now seems a bit overpowered, the fact that you can walk up and kill players without their consent and even on their own land is just outrageous, if you didn't lose everything it might not be so bad. I think players should have some sort of defense because players just starting out don't even have good armor for atleast a week. I propose that players can't kill other players on their own land or even not be able to kill them without their consent. I know it's realistic that you can walk up and murder someone and that it costs like 100000LP to be able to do so but it is a major game killer if you work for a week and before you're even able to make armor and weapons a person walks up and slaughters you causing you to lose everything.

tl;dr - change pvp by making players consent to combat or not be able to be killed on their claim.

If only there were some way to have the resources to do that within the first few days of playing.

I don't want this to sound like i want consolation or something but this happened to me and my friend today and we didn't want walls because we were rapidly expanding and didn't know how big we should make them so we thought we'd wait to build em.

Murder isn't murder if you agree to it. Its more like assisted suicide.

I don't want to play a game where the only way to die is by suicide.

look man i don't mean to belittle your loss but you're really not in much worse of a situation now than you were before you died

A week's worth of lose is hardly anything.

Having to give consent to be murdered would make it not be murder, just like giving consent to be raped makes it not rape.

By the time getting murdered will lose you anything substaintial, you will have ways to protect yourself, such as walls and stuff.

There is, its called a palisade.
Hunt chickens and rabbits and chop trees, You can have a full wall in less than a week at an extremely lazy speed.
You could probably make a wall in a day or two at a fast pace.

BTW if you were killed on your own claim the attacker left murder and battering scents, that can be harvested and used to track him down and summon kill him at range if, his heart fire is behind a wall. Get help from some advanced players on forums or among your neighbours.

Besides as the others said, a palisade is ALWAYS the first thing you must build so concentrate on that. Make one small one just to protect your house and HFs, then expand with new outer rings. If you, for any reason, didn't make a wall after a week you have no right to complain for getting murdered by random PKs.

Survival of the fittest (well actually of the paranoid)
