simple idea, a popup window to notify when a player on your kinlist comes online. not necessarily every kin, only ones specifically marked for this purpose. this would be really helpful to see villagers that come on, or that elusive trade partner that you've been looking for for a week or so.

i know it only takes a couple seconds to click on the heart and sort by status, but something like this would beat the hell out of checking the kin list every 5 minutes looking for someone in particular

Maybe a check box next to each name, that when checked shows when they log in and out

A popup would be nice in general.
Turning this around (as usual), instead of a popup on the side of the requester. A request contacts list on the other side. (I personally never liked the 'send "e-mail opened" request' for example, but that just me.)
This way is more agreeable to both side's in my mind.

Also. Having a dozenth players contact you when you just got online might work against the idea.

Indeed, having to click the hearth menu every once in a while just to check who is online is tedious, especially on times of lag.
