Greater Magic: A Set of Ideas

I have yet another lame idea to throw at H&H: Greater Magic.
It's main material is Magical Energy (think "A Beautiful Dream" icon, but blue) crafted from 5x A Beautiful Dream and must be made at an Ancestral Shrine. (Boom, you actually have a use for that little hunk of wood!) Or, you can get Magical Energy from an Arcane Glyph (see below)
(All things here would require Greater Magic skill, 2500 LP maybe?)

---Items of Magic------

Item 1: Wand
10x Magical Energy, 5x Silk Thread, 1x Branch, 10,000 LP.
Allows all actions to go ((wandQ/10)+1)x faster. Very, very hard to make. Made using a "Make Wand" command at an Ancestral Shrine or Arcane Glyph.

Item 2: Spirit Incense (think "Boar Tusk Snuff" icon, but blue)
1x Tree Bark, 1x Boar Tusk Snuff, 1x Magical Energy
Gives you a boost of FEPs of your choice.
The amount of FEPs is exactly equivalent to the Q of the incense

---Constructions of Magic------

Construction 1: Arcane Glyph (for image idea, think Charter Stone but smaller)
Allows you to harvest Magical Energy rather like a Dream Catcher. Construction Q is influenced by ((INT*2+CSM+avg. of materials*3)/6)
10x of "A Beautiful Dream", 15x Stone.

Construction 2: Invocation Circle (think 5-point star, necromancy-like)
Used with Wand, gives you the ability to summon any non-magical object from rabbit fur to wrought iron.
5x Candle, 10x Magical Energy, 5x Ash.
To use it, "fuel" it with 3x Magical Energy, right click it, click "Invoke" with a wand out, and type in the name of an item. You cannot summon Written Parchment, or anything else that is made with player input. The quality of the item is ((wandQ+circleQ+playerINT)/3)-((result of first equation/50)*15)

Construction 3: Geocognitive Rune (built in a claim)
Allows you to make a regional map with images of mines and caves included as small icons by right clicking the rune and hitting Map Area (requires normal mapping supplies).
10x Magical Energy, 15x Stone, 1x Dirt, 10x Rustroot.

Construction 4: Lighting Rune (built in a personal claim)
Creates a protective field in your camp, zapping anyone who performs a criminal act. Zaps deal all your SHP plus 5% of your current HHP. Destroyed on clearing of claim. 1 hour cooldown for trespass, 15 min cooldown for theft, and 5 min cooldown for vandalism. Made with "Build Lightning Rune". One a claim.
50x Magical Energy, 50x Stone, 10,000 LP.

As far as I know, magic in this sense is trying to be avoided.

Magic isn't liked very much. Loftar himself said there will NOT be a skill called magic. I also think the invocation circle is unbalanced, as it can produce metals, which are overly plentiful now. The map thing is unbalanced as it would make rustroot horribly obsolete.

Sounds like optimism to me. Thankfully this idea will be summarily dismissed and ignored along with a dozen other jackasses that show up and think they have a fucking clue after playing the game for a week.

Uhm....the constructions and items seems to have cool abilites, but they require almsot no materials, which is stupid, seeing it how good their abilites are, quadrouble the amount of resources required, and it will be better.

I would like magic to some extent, but I'm just restating what people have said the devs have said, I didn't feel like digging up a quote.

Let me try then: FUCK MAGIC! Go play Dungeons & Dragons... OK that was a little over the top, but my personal preference is not to have magic in the game at all. While we're at it, please replace 'beautiful dreams' with something realistically tangible.

nah, u just mad.

jorbtar has stated they do not want magic in the game. Magic in form of Dreamcatchers and Beautiful Dreams are pretty much the only comparable exception, though they're just for the sake of balance, and game balance.
