Easily, for the purpose of that thread is explicitly defined in the OP, and the Rules state that all discussion regarding moderation must be taken to this thread. No exceptions.

I was not discussing the moderation of the thread but how to get to the proper place with out a clear path laid out by a mod.

How is saying "Thank you" spam and sass?

There is no hero nor villian, but a lack of leadership, and checks and balances?

Reminder to everyone else, this was the post in question, after a lengthy derail:

I clarified what the mod in question did, and said thank you now that I understood what the mod was doing.

So I ask again how is saying "Thank you" spam and sass?

Maybe because it was preceded by this :
viewtopic.php?f=43&t=43048&start=620#p561082

Please, call it a day. You are clearly on the wrong side of the right with this.

No I was getting clearfication trying to get the Mod to explain what he meant, since I had not idea. If any of those post were spam or sass why were they not flagged then. Instead it was used on my last post after getting it sorted out. I even said "Thank you" showing respect for doing so. That is not spam nor sass.

I am in the right on this, and I will not give up.

Its been over 40 mikes, and still waiting for a mod to explain how asking something, getting things cleared up, posting a view point, and then saying"Thank you" is spam, and sass.

You'll need to post a link to the post in question. I didn't see one earlier in the thread or overlooked it in the arguing. Sorry. Quite often it doesn't even get posted as the mod and person defending the post knows what's going on without referencing the post.

To make a quick summary of what I've read, though:

Someone (presumably you) posted in another part of the forum about moderation. You received warning about said post to not discuss moderation anywhere other than this thread, whether it is a "kiss my ass" or "thank you". Don't discuss moderation outside of this thread. You then keep throwing the same questions up despite being told what the relative rules are. This comes across as sass because it appears the person isn't reading what is being written, even if the person needs to "read between the lines."

What's a warning? Just an official way to say that you've been warned about breaking a rule. I don't know about where anyone else lives, but if a cop pulls you over and gives you a warning about not using your turn signal where I live, you don't go to court to argue why you didn't use the turn signal or why the cop was wrong. In fact, the court will send you away because you have no business there. Same thing here: take it for what it is--a warning that you've violated the rules. However, much like real life, if a person wants to make a lot of noise and disrupt, they can be ejected for a period of time to cool off.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

I was not the person that was warned, some one else was. I was asking to get an understanding how the link went directly to rules, and not directly to complaints. I was not discussing moderation outside this thread due to not understanding on how even to get to this thread, and was trying to understand it. Stating the rule over and over, while not providing a direct link will force the person that does not understand to keep asking the same question till it can be explained where it can be understood. Saying Thank you is not spam nor sass.

The mod failed to be helpful up front. The mod finally answered in a way that every one, even noobs can understand.

Some other mod comes along and gets uptight with out understanding what is going on.

This game is now being payed for, the Devs are great but the Mods need to get better, and make every post clear and precise so that even noobs can understand, and not have to read between the lines.
