I have a friend who says things like
I should go build a pyre in my backyard and burn myself alive just as Denethor II did.

I'm worried he might have some mental health issue where he can only think of himself in terms of fictional characters. What should I do?
The low life has lost its appeal
And I'm tired of walking these streets
To a room with its cupboards bare

Be thankful you are not insane like this friend.
