Austin, I don't hate them. I just have a hard time keeping up with all the alts, and I don't wanna treat a new poster as the myriad of alts that are here.

And the fact you think these forums are just a repository of useless noise, I don't see it that way.

Sure, it was a fine conversation, but the forums aren't really the place for civil discourse.

It's crazy it took me so long to learn that. But, agree to disagree.

A quick scan through The Moot makes that clear. Tons of lesser players and villages teamed ended up forming one of the biggest moral alliances in Haven & Hearth history and they were still handily disregarded by WB's adept touchy vets. Reprimanded by an alliance of the 10 (previous) most powerful villages under the leadership of Snuggle, Whatever Bay's degenerates reported their forum posts, but didn't deny any allegations.
The children were good sports though and took the L on the chin (among other things) after jobbing to the superior commander and that is admirable and worthy of respect.
And to all the moral-havers that rallied to snuggles side, you tried your best and that's all anybody can ask of you! Keep your ages of consent up!

I'd like to propose a toast and dedicate this thread to cultural subjectivity and wish luck to those in first-world countries (non-derogatory!) next world. I'm sure you guys will come back fighting. With a bit of brushing up on your child protection laws I have absolute faith that you'll be able to provide a better challenge to the titans of the Pedo world, Robben, Bob, Noindy and co.

To all members of Brazil, congratulations! This just proves that steroids, a third-world education and candy go a long way. I wish you a prosperous and just as successful World 16!
Good luck to everyone else too! Let's have some fun in World 16!

I'd have to strongly disagree with this statement on multiple levels, as it crosses numerous ethical boundaries while attempting to wrap itself in humor. The primary issue here lies in how it trivializes topics that are, at their core, deeply serious and not remotely suitable for a public forum. The tone may be intended to be humorous or light-hearted, but when a subject like the well-being of children is treated with this kind of flippancy, it sends a message that these concerns are worth mocking. That is not a "laughable" matter in any context.

There’s also an underlying issue in how the message tries to blur lines between gameplay experiences and real-world moral issues. Bringing up topics like child protection laws and associating players with harmful or criminal behavior, whether it’s intended as satire or not, just misses the mark by a wide margin. Gaming communities thrive on competition, camaraderie, and sometimes dark humor—but there’s a fine line between dark humor and outright tastelessness. In this case, the message veers far into the latter, and that’s a significant problem.

Moreover, reducing this entire situation to a mock battle of moral alliances, celebrating the “victory” of one side in a way that implicitly endorses degenerate behavior or ethical shortcomings, does nothing but degrade the quality of discussion in the community. Instead of fostering a spirit of mutual respect and fair competition, it descends into a cesspool of insults, demeaning references, and inappropriate comparisons. Encouraging such behavior could ultimately push away players who are here for a healthy, fun gaming environment and attract those who revel in toxicity and negativity.

There’s also the issue of national stereotypes and derogatory references, like the comments about Brazil. Jokes about third-world education and steroid use, tied to national identities, cross another line—demeaning entire groups of people under the guise of competition. This kind of dialogue not only fosters unnecessary division but also alienates people who should be coming together to enjoy the game. It doesn’t reflect well on any community to see players making sweeping generalizations or veiled insults based on nationality.

Instead of glorifying these divisive and toxic aspects, the discussion should focus on the aspects of gameplay that unite players. Why not celebrate the strategic victories, the moments of clever teamwork, or the persistence shown by the underdog? It’s fine to recognize the challenges posed by stronger groups and even to poke a bit of fun at the losses, but when that fun veers into an all-out endorsement of harmful or distasteful ideas, it becomes a serious issue. A toast to cultural subjectivity, as mentioned, would be much more effective if it didn’t come at the cost of basic respect for important societal issues and other people's identities.

In conclusion, while competitive banter and even satire have their place, this message goes too far in using harmful, inappropriate themes as a punchline. There’s no value in humor that sacrifices respect and decency, especially when it’s built on topics that should be taken seriously. I would advocate for a more respectful, thoughtful approach to celebrating the game’s highs and lows—one that doesn’t rely on shocking or harmful jokes to make a point. A community that rallies around healthy competition and shared enjoyment of the game is far more admirable than one that resorts to this kind of discourse.

thank you, that was terrible

Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Rather pathetic that they will target people they dislike for making similar comments but then completely ignore it when it’s their friend.
