As somebody below the age of 40 my chances of dying from coronavirus are <0.2%. 0.2% is the death rate of coronavirus for people below the age of forty and that number includes people with additional risk factors. None of which I have.

Congratulations boomers you have raised us in a capitalist system. Right now the lives of boomers seem much less important to me than a global recession. Sure, there are good boomers out there but they have done nothing about their parasitic peers. Absolutely nothing. They've hit the end of their productive lifetime after exploiting the younger generations their whole working life. Now they intend to continue exploiting us in their retirement whilst contributing nothing but negativity to society. The more of these parasitic voters that die the less of them can continue to destroy our future with their votes and by draining the economy to maintain their exploitative comforts.

I have personal reasons for such intense dislike of a generation that has no place in the future. This virus is a blessing and we should have embraced it.

The boomers need to go.

That is, assuming that numbers are correct, and that you get proper hospital treatment in case that the illness becomes severe (It becomes severe on healthy and young people as well, but they have better chances of recovery with treatment).
But think of others, and think of the possibility that hospitals will be full and then the life saving treatment will be prioritized to somebody who is younger and healthier (luckier, richer?) than you, and then you die.

Maybe the boomers who run your country should spend more money on healthcare and less on driving military vehicles around in the forest and shooting blanks at trees...

Think of others? That is not very capitalist of you to say. I tell you what. When the boomers start showing some consideration for our future and us I will tone down my opinion.

Why should I show any concern for a generation that is doing nothing but squeezing as much as they can from the world around them before their inevitable deaths. My generation has a chance of achieving life extension if things go well. The boomers are going to miss this opportunity. I will not stand by and show compassion toward people who exhibit such disrespect and lack of concern for our futures.

The boomers have no future and the sooner they are gone the better the world will be. The greater the opportunities for everybody else. Our chances of achieving everything we dream of will become possible once they are gone.

The boomers need to go.

Fat chance. Regardless of age, powerful people want to keep power to themselves, and that by definition comes at the expense of less powerful people. In a capitalist society, 'achieving everything we dream of' will never be possible.

You're right. My parents were utter trash. Their parents were even worse. The boomer community I was raised in was the peak of toxicity. Our perspectives are shaped by our experiences. However instead of being a fool blinded by "love" or whatever I can see the truth of what boomers are. My vision is clear. Yours seems clouded.

I fully intend to transition to a cyborg in old age. For this to happen the youth needs to be encouraged in the right direction. Failing that I will just become a hermit and live a solitary life until I can no longer support myself. At which point I will hopefully die outside, in nature, trying to live as nature intended instead of cluttering up the healthcare system with futile and pointless attempts at remaining alive.

Capitalism alone is not the problem. The oligarchical plutocracy is to blame but I'm not concerned about them because I believe they can be convinced. They just can't be convinced to pay.

You've got some issues Jalpha, but I truly hope you can identify them and work through this. The world is not so dark as you have been misled to believe. There is good and evil in this world, but the looming puppet masters you hold in your mind exist only there. In reality they are learning as they go and often understand that life is a team game. Many want to help you and people like you, but know that they can't do it without building something. Some truly do want nothing more than to be successful even if it costs others, but they don't often last long(despite what others would have you believe). Then of course some have no idea what they're doing and all their "evil" is simply accidents or lack of knowledge with no ill intent. They may even mean well.

There are people in this world that would love to shape your idea of reality so that they may more easily control you. You may believe what you want, but understand that reality and perspective are two different things. We have a choice, however, to believe that our perspective is reality. If you believe that people are evil and that they'd be better off dead, then that is your reality. If you believe that people want good for their brothers and sisters, then that is your reality. Please excuse the rant, I hope you have a lovely day.
