National Guard in Oregon already building a field hospital. I had my tonsils and adenoids removed inside an Army Surgical Tent when I was 10. I assume things are even more sophisticated now. The Democratic Hoax continues...

@barrin

plagiarized anb derivative works.

John Barry's textual originality is directly akin to works of musical composition; employing specific keys, notes, pitch and timbre, timing organized into coherent and pleasing notation - in the literary world it's known as prose - meter, pacing, rhyme and rhythm found in couplets and haiku. The same applies to works of non-fiction.

One cannot simply cut and paste passages of original works into a wholly separate and distinct work and present it as original. One may only use thosee works with permission of the publisher - with attribution.

Additionally, non-fiction books include a bibliography to indicate how the author was aided in fields both within and without their specialty/certification.

Bloomberg stole work and profited both finacially and gained prestige via that intellectual theft.

My home province just closed down all non-essential services this morning.
BC still seems to be holding onto the trigger though

Working from home starts tomorrow for me, so we'll see how phone sessions go.

They will likely be forcing people to work like nurses/support workers soon as well. If things get much worse they may pull people out of retirement where they need it most.

In Finland, they had to start using equipments from National Emergency Supply Agency. It's like a large warehouse of various kinds of stuffs stockpiled for emergencies owned by the government. They have never had to use it before. Exact contents are not public information, but some say that it should contain at least millions of surgical masks and hundreds of thousands of respirator masks. I wonder how long the supplies are going to last! Schools, universities, workplaces, libraries etc. have been shut down a long time ago in Finland, but restaurants etc. can still be open, which is weird. Government is thinking hard whether they should close them or not and perhaps restrict movement outside as well. One quite big problem is also that people do not respect the recommendations from government because they are not really enforced.

Some newspapers in Finland have told that Sweden has not really done anything to prevent the virus from spreading, and some health official in Sweden has even denounced WHO's policy and said that its useless to prevent it from spreading by various methods (because they don't work) or something.

Same in my state... which I don't understand. Sure, health departments do a lot to increase hygiene of establishments that handle food, be it restaurants or grocery stores/markets, but they're not there making sure employees haven't been exposed, aren't carriers, and aren't sick. People can cook at home. I mean, this thing spread because of markets. I'll grant that the source were open air, "wet" markets where animals are butchered in the same location as other foods are sold, but my point is that it is very hard to control hygiene in any market past a basic level. At least in markets where a lot of the foods are prepackaged, hygiene is easier to control and you can wash/wipe down packaging before opening it.

We (UK) went into lockdown last night, all non-essential shops are now closed, as are playgrounds, parks and libraries. Restaurants, bars, sports centres, cinemas etc were already closed.

There is a ban on gatherings of more than two people, with the police having the powers to enforce through fines and dispersing. We have been told we must stay at home and only be allowed outside to buy food or medication, exercise alone once a day, or to travel to work if absolutely necessary.

We have also asked those nurses and health care workers in retirement to offer their services to help cope with the numbers of people expected to contract the virus and need medical help.

@ Jordan; There is concern for ppl in vulnerable situations, large families cooped up together, people with mental health issues, addicts etc, domestic violence is also a concern, we have opened up various help lines to offer advice should situations arise ... it's a worry.

Finnish National Broadcasting company advises citizens to make a fur suit and become furry in their latest article, where they tell things to do if you get bored during corona quarantine ¦]

I think olympics were also postponed.

It's quite weird how numbers from different countries are so different. Like compare italy to south korea or china. Of course there may be a difference on how cases are reported. China is probably just lieing, but then again, in China they can just make everyone stay in their homes with a few days of warning time, but in countries like Italy restricting people's movement is very difficult.

Yes the Olympics were postponed till 2021.

The Chinese numbers are word play. No new domestic infections but the ones from returning citizens are not listed as domestic. So its bad there as well.
