In my mind the main indicator we have for the severity of any strain/sub-strain/whatever is age of the infected. Younger and less vulnerable people getting infected just muddies the water, so to speak.

I'm also going to just plain disregard most of the data coming out in mainstream media related to covid. They have a false positive rate as high as 30% for the testing. There is a complete lack of transparency about basic data like specificity of the testing. There is an absurd level of corruption surrounding this virus. To speak plainly I do not trust mainstream statements on the virus. This is why the video I linked was produced prior to the covid outbreak.

I am aware that you prefer to believe what you are told to believe by the establishment. I'm fine with that. Just don't expect me to trust any official statements about the number of strains going around when they have a false positive rate for testing as high as 30%. Clearly there is an astonishing level of incompetence or corruption relating to genetic sequencing of this virus.

In any case, regardless of the above, strains aside... Viruses which require host mobility to propagate are selected against if they reduce host mobility and/or cause death. Human assisted natural selection of the virus is taking place.

I only wear masks if my government gives me one for free. They still cost 40 cent a piece in Finland, even though the normal price is 3 cents a piece.
If they think that masks are really that useful, it shouldn't be an issue for them to buy them for each citizen, because it would surely make economical sense too?

If they refuse to buy masks because it would cost too much I would rather question if they are useful at all.
I don't think that masks work too well because most people do not use them correctly.
Also I think that the only reason to wear a mask is so that the restrictions can be lowered, but in Finland it doesn't work like that, government thinks that everyone should wear a mask AND then there should be MORE restrictions than what currently is. So there is 0 gains for using the masks.

I follow all government recommendations in every country I spend time in.

I also do not believe in masks. I still wear one even when it is not required though (outside). Only because it keeps my face warm.

I think the corruption and incompetence related to covid is likely on a small group and individual scale. Who knows though. Maybe the illuminati is real.

This is what you get when you put the government into a trillion dollars of debt throwing money at people to keep them fat and happy. More police than protestors.

Funny how few Australians seem to care they will be paying off that debt forever.

Compared to other nations, it looks like Australia spends comparably not a whole lot on social welfare programs. Not sure what you're complaining about.
