RedKGB's personal crusade against THE MAN

Postby RedKGB » Tue Sep 22, 2015 2:26 am

I hereby submit a request to overturn my warning for spam and sass. viewtopic.php?f=43&t=43048&start=630

The mod in question was not clear on his instructions; did not lay out a clear and helpful way for the reader to submit a complaint about a mods action. The mod was flippant with saying go here. But really meant to go here, then to go over here. I called the mod out on this, that he was not clear in his instructions. After I left the conversation, the same mod continued the discussion by quoting me, I then replied. For answering a post that a mod quoted I have been warned for spam. How is responding spam? If it is the same post over and over, if it was on different threads, is there was no change, and or no discussion then yes, but it does not fit any of those. So the spam warning should be expunged.

Next how is sass defined? The discussion was showing how one reader would have to figure out what someone else meant by a halfhearted attempt to do something but took the lazy route. When we correct those that are wrong, and not doing what they are meant to do, we get punished by others. So the sass warning should be expunged.

On a finally note, this game is now being financed. Not only financed but receiving a lot of talk out on the ether of the web. When our Mods, only do a halfhearted attempt, they are sending the message to new players that help, direction, and correction from Mods are haphazard at best, and that when they are paying for a game, they are only getting support from the Devs, but the Mods could care less.

5. Spam and 6. Sass are defined here, which has already been recommended to you several times today.

Reduce forum clutter..? That isn't what this is about, they are removing "low content" threads..

They are removing threads that don't do anything but provide entertainment for others, they aren't breaking any rules by sharing their adventure with others.

Its the same argument as "high brow" versus "low brow" comedy.. not everything has to be an awesome well-told story or viewpoint-spinning political opinion.

The forums are finally active, people are posting interesting shit, then a trigger-happy jackass thinks its ok to shit on everything.

What else are people going to read, look over, lurk on when the servers go down for hours. It has a pupose, and if the mods dont like the place, create its own subforum, call black hatters or something.

Many people agree the mega thread is not the way to go.

Also this is part of a talk and not spam.

The appeal is to other mods, and not you, since you are the one that issued it.

How can a system work with out checks and balances?

This thread in itself is a joke, since the mods are immune to any and all reprimand and "feedback" they receive is handled with fierce defensiveness and mod abuse

Thank you

After seeing some of the other Mods defend Jackass and his dumb mistake, im starting to doubt the balance of the mod team.

People are paying for an unfinished game, I get that, 90% of the players get that. We have a professional Dev team working hard.

We have at best Mods that only do a halfhearted job, that back up each other when they have made a mistake, that their only reply is here is the rule without input nor content on their ruling.

We need a real form of checks and balances

I voted for 'shitty kills' (edit:) subforum, nevertheless with some quality standards (/edit).

Many people agree the mega thread is not the way to go.
You might be surprised, but I'm one of them.

Also this is part of a talk and not spam.
A warning is meant for you to stop for a moment and contemplate the idea that what you currently are doing might not be what you want, what you would do in case you think about it a little more, or especially what others would like to see in the future.

To clarify for newcomers: other mods cautioned you to stop derailing the thread, and this seemingly had no effect, so warnings are the next step before we just start handing out bans. Warnings don't actually do anything by themselves.

I vote for a place for what you call "shitty kills" to go. A subforum, not a mega thread.

I am sure people like the megathread, then again are they really the poeple reading it?

I did take my time to respond.

How come you are defending the Mod instead of the Mod defending himself?

How can you derail a thread that is a composite of 3,4,5,10 threads?
