Boar aggro'd from other side of wall?

Are animals suppose to be able to aggro through wall? A boar aggro'd me from outside a wall. I recently built the wall so its soak was still building up.

I was under the impression that animals weren't suppose aggro through walls regardless.

If they are or aren't. I'm more then likely dead because now the boar doesn't have anywhere to wonder off to and will likely come back to finish me off. I logged out for the time being and hope that it despawns.
