Don't bother about that - this contest was definitely full of corruption. The OP just paid him for win - I can't see other ways him to win the prize.

What will be unfair is for the man who wins without being allowed to compete against all comers. This is undermining of competition. Beside that I am only in 52th place for postings score contest.
