Honestly, there's nothing to really worry about unless you're old. Just wash your hands and you'll be fine, so go grab some hand sanitizers before they run out of stock.

I hate when people say that, because it's not true! People are just scared so they want to lie to themselves (and others) that there is no need to worry.

Just because I said you shouldn't worry doesn't mean you shouldn't maintain caution. Corona is serious in that its incubation time is unusually long (up to two weeks with no noticeable symptoms) which enables it to spread quickly even in developed countries. But in the event that you do get infected doesn't automatically mean your life is over. People have recovered, and their immunity systems are adapting against it. (Word has it they're trying to get a vaccine out as well, but I'm not sure how credible my sources are on this one.)

Like with any disease, just stay hygienic, cough/sneeze into your elbow, stay away from ill people and you should be fine. Media has an awful tendency to intentionally rouse people into a panic, so there's literally no need to be scared - at least not right now.

Probability of death is like 100 times the same as flu
Pneumonia is a rare complication of flu, but with this it seems to be rather common even among not-old people.

And there is probably a chance for permanent lung damage that does not cause death but is still a bad thing. (this was the case with SARS, at least, and coronavirus is quite similar)
Media is not causing panic, at least in Finland it seems to do the opposite, for now. Which I think is bad. It will only be days until Finland will be in the same numbers as many other European countries.

You cannot say that everything is fine only because you arent in the risk group, while older people, mildly chronically sick people and people in poor countries all die around you.

There are already major economical and soon political impacts that it has had and will have. So it is interesting time. (shows vulnerability of current manufacturing chains where you are very dependant on some shitty country in other side of the world)

There may also be a chance that coronavirus will be something that is here to stay, viruses have tendency to have mutations which makes vaccinations (or immunity system resistance) not work really well, and with coronavirus being this infectious there is no other way to stop it than vaccinations or people getting immunity against it by other means. But who knows how much it mutates.

every educational establishment has been closed by government for two weeks in Poland.
So there will be a large growth in polish players activity.

Coronavirus is actually a conspiracy by seatribe to increase w12 playercounts.

problem is hospital structure getting overloaded with serious cases

JRE podcast had a doctor saying in Italy they had to choose who would be treated, a nightmare choice to make, which explains why China built those emergency hospitals... sadly most countries won't do that

Problem is not only hospitals and equipment, but also doctors and nurses. There won't be enough of them.
They have clear criteria on who gets treatment and who doesn't. I once read some Finnish hospitals instructions for major epidemic situation, and they had a point system and a table, where you are assigned points based on your age, chronic diseases, probability that you recover from the illness etc. and if you score too many points they will just throw you out, if your condition doesn't seem to improve, they will also throw you out. I think that having even one "mild" chronic disease (diabetes, asthma) scored you 2 points, and being over 40 scored 1 point for every 10 years of age after that.
It's pretty cruel but I guess it would be too expensive to prepare properly for some pandemic illness that may or may not happen in the future.

US is officially over 1000 cases now.

We are officially at "pandemic" level now.

We can all now panic and not feel guilty over it. Lock your doors and get your guns to protect yourselves from looters.
