16 hours of camping =/= 24 hours of being able to go away from your pc

if they fixed the whole multiple shield bullshit itd be fine

Raiding has to be purposefully hard, though.
It takes several weeks, if not months, to build and run an active community. And yet less than an hour is enough to destroy it, once you have access, as it happened to us.

Ideally, it shouldn't be possible to deceive people like it was done in this case. In real life you can't just make an alt char, after all. Unfortunately the game has no way to prevent people doing so, and thus there is no way to trust people, making any social interaction a gamble. And sometimes, like in this case, they just end up being fatal. Sad, but that's just how it is.

I think one of the main issues here is that none of these players think that way and there's very few players left that do. Just look at their complaints in this thread alone:

1. Sieging takes too long (yet it takes less time than it did in Legacy in total).
2. Some bullshit about multiple shields but there's only one village I'm aware of that has multiple shield protection in the form of several villages.
3. Alt vaulting (except you don't even need alts if you simply have a charter to another place instead).
4. And #4 the hidden complaint, I can't siege anyone through legitimate means because that will give a chance for fighters to come get me.

I'm more than sure most fighters seek fights rather than try to avoid them.

sure but unless the intent is to attempt sieging of a place for the sole purpose of luring defenders than that's not seeking a fight, that's called a gank and most people avoid those.
