nah combat range is about 1 tile long
the reason why he's so far from the wall on the screen is because he was on horse when he got hit
when you're mounted the hit range is calculated from your mount's hitbox boundaries rather than you character
and that's why as soon as he was knocked off the horse he returned to his human size htibox and wasn't withim my reach anymore which spared his nab life
