In the interests of disincentivizing this behaviour from happening again I think that nuking the involved characters, or accounts, or ip associated accounts could be an option in this case, and should always be the action taken in the future, and this should be made clear before more bases are ruined. Let's not forget that a lax ruling is what created this issue in the first place.

How would you change the poll then? and am i supposed to be happy with grossly unequal justice from a developer who is supposed to be neutral?
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

You may be correct but nobody gives a fuck ESPECIALLY NOT JORB LOL

It's his own fault for introducing some stupidly vague open season on bug raiding

1 downside to being a hermit is you're not part of the biased views hype train, this forum is like unionized political system, to gett shit done you need to be part of a biased coalition to spam 20 pages of horse shit and make changes happen!

One unresolved question is: Do you think any kind of bugabuse deserves the same punishment, or should it be graded according to the severity of the abuse?
What is severe abuse and what is not so much?
I do not know the details of the two cases and how equal they are.

i care much less about a precedent and more about a standard. regardless of what jorb did in the past, i would like to see him set some sort of punishment in stone for abusing bugs. and display it on the forums.

They are identical cases.
They both bug abused to get into a base, they both posted the bug before they did it.
The only thing thats different between the two cases, is the punishment jorb gave.
Perhaps it was even worse, because they lied to jorb and pretended i was part of odditown.
I dont know how jorb was dumb enough to believe that, considerng odditown is 3 hours away, and i live 2 minutes away from brodgar. It's just funny.

They are both cases of essentially wall jumping and destroying village/chars. This one is a bit less severe than what Core did, firstly it is bypassing visitor debuff rather than wall jump, secondly it is destruction of 1 base 1 char. Core on the other hand destroyed a number of decent sized villages.

It is true however that Jorb was pretty clear about this punishment rule for bug raiders in his Core thread. The "precedent" card for not restoring stats does kinda make me lol after that. Jorb does whatever he wants doesnt he :P but this case is actually a bit of a gray zone because the whole "feel free to bug raid odditown" can be translated to "hey everybody, do whatever the hell you want!". It's undeniable Bob Dole is somehow loosely affiliated with Odditown, notice how they defend him in these sorts of threads. Jorbs commandment was so vague it would almost be unfair to nuke everyone in Ainran lol.

decided to for some time lift our protective hand from the Wizards

The wizards... who the fuck are "the wizards" ? I'm pretty sure it's fair to interpret that as the general coalition of fighters they have banded together? Anyone who fights alongside willy potter is "wizard" ? ok that includes bob dole for all we know, it did last world and would probably be again this world if they asked him, heck maybe bob dole was at tartarus raid, who knows? wouldnt surprise anyone :P

1 month sub for stat-capped character? Unless world resets tomorrow, that's just adding insult to injury. At one point I briefly considered posting that even granting lifetime subscription to Bob Dole wouldn't be overdoing it.

valid point. i forgot to mention that, if i were in jorbs shoes i would have given bob the means to make some sort of curio or trade good. like spawning him a salt node or something.

Jason is clearly blindsided by his bias towards Dolly. I 100% garuntee you wouldn't be saying that bullshit if you were being bug raided. It's always easy to take the high road if you haven't experienced it
