But if you hadn't of tried swinging back a few times, I was throwing defenses and gonna demand you stop running but when you swung a punch, hit my parry, knocked down your own defense... well i swung a sting.... and then another... and then the river ran red.

Thing is when someone attacks you fight back because, duh, you dont want to die in vain. While its hard to fight back with hunter, miner and forager, its still better than getting chopped.
Noone cared enough to start up a convo, things went downright to attacking without even saying a word. I dunno, if you were going us to demand stopping you should've done that from the beginning?

We also asked the dude you were chasing if he was in fact being attacked multiple times and he swore that he was.

Dosent goes with line of "we're protecting the peace". You know, shooting first and asking questions later is more like some hafens criminals behavior. Like, "ugh, we're stronger anyways than a bunch of hunters, why would we ask anything". Also, i have no clue how slaughter could be called battle.

When my brother gets back I will get him to post what happened to him. I'm almost certain he told me you attacked him; he definitely said you told him "it's time to die" before he escaped by placing and getting into the boat he was carrying in the passenger seat, then was chased for 15 minutes while he led you to his allies.

Yup, we did it once while shouting something in lines "CCPD COMING IN WE'RE TAKING MEASURES" before taking it off. Decided to not do that again because guy felt a bit threatened.

We're trying to be considerate even taking the time to get your side of the coin, but please consider our perspective as well.
Someone screaming bloody murder and being on edge for a great amount of time in village chat is a quick way to get us to shoot first and ask questions later.

It doesn't help that our immediate locale of nabs are littered with varying scents and stories of having been killed and raided until they got their respective palisades up.

Most of our village couldn't be assed, but I'd say this again:

There's really nothing to discuss here, you admit to aggro and chase somebody across map for an hour. Impersonating a police officer is a federal offence, I believe correct and fair punishment was carried out here.
