Either way this goes, jorb will be put in between arguments, nothing he can do to please everyone, it will just waste his time and patience. Even if he nukes all Ainran people and their families and friends, will that bring your character back?

Tell you what. Instead of requesting for revenge why not ask for help? If all that jorb can do is 1month sub, appeal to the community. I know the community is cancer, but there are people willing to help. Make a thread - help Bob Dole get on his feet, and accept donations. I mean with your playstyle all it takes is salt and some ice to rock on again. You also have notoriety among some factions that I guess they could spare some of their shit to help you. I'd be willing to help you with whatever I got.

This is the perfect response to this tantrum thread. Let the people that enjoy you help you back on your feet and let the Devs get on with developing without dragging them into this nonsense. Any player with a lesser forum presence would just be told to cry more, the game is not for them and have it pointed out this is an eternal alpha and everything could be wiped tomorrow anyway.
Declaring mummy and daddy changed the rules doesn't give you a legal position to demand action.
Just enjoy the game, bugs and all.

How do you miss the point?
If a dev changes the rules as he goes, then why doesn't he just change the rules and give back what I lost? he said he could easily do it.
What I have come to understand from what he has said, is that he wants the rules to be static. He said if he restored my place, he would have to restore everyone else in the future.
If that is the case, then the same crime, the same punishment, static rules right?
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Just chill brah. You're set back what? Two months? Less even because your pals at brodgar can probably throw some help your way.

I just think that the best solution to this problem is for you to enact your own justice if you feel jaded about the justice which was chosen for you. This is meant to be a sandbox, as broken as it is. Revenge should be up to you.

I thought that you would take this like a man, but I am heavily disappointed.

Oh yes, i'll just hop on my naked 30% character and go exact justice, while ainran has all their characters fully geared, and unharmed. That sound's great.
How are you enjoying my skull btw? was the lp enough? maybe ill just level back up, so ainran can come bug jump me again with impunity, and not get punished, just like now. Maybe you can farm me for developed skulls with your bugs, because who's going to stop you?

This isn't about vengeance. I'm not gonna explain it again today, gnight.

Thank goodness you are going to explain it to us all again, I expect that will require a new thread.

Take your own revenge, that is what the game is about, ask another faction to help you and make an interesting non whiny post about your escapades.

You people seriously lack compassion and intelligence. How can you be so dumb to give answers like "get over it" when nothing major happened to the people using a bug to wipe out 100's of IRL hours he put into the game. He knew he'd eventually lose the character, this is HnH after all. But not like this.

How can any of you answer pile of shit like "I thought that you would take this like a man, but I am heavily disappointed."
Yeah right, be a man son, level it up again and maybe loose it all to bug abuse again, what's preventing it ? Jorb will delete a few smelters from their outpost.
He is asking for the same rules for everyone.
This is a pretty major bug abuse, not sure you could do worst than what they did. Kill you when you're afk, and then lock your base, which is exactly like razing it without admin intervention.

I agree he should keep on playing and get revenge eventually, hell why not even bug raid them too, and see what punishment he'll get ? But why even bother so far..

To finish, it's not about people defending HIM or not, I'd do the same post if it was my worst enemy, we can't have people using bugs like this and having a lighter loss than their target, we just can't.

(lasty keep in mind he didn't lose your crap characters, he lost a maxed one)

Wow. How about being proactive. How about taking the initiative. How about if you disagree with something some random troll faction on the server has done you actually do something about it yourself instead of wasting dev time.

If you want to support dole do it, but this ineffectual whining irks me.

I bid you adieu.

Wasting dev time? This is actually the responsibility of the devs to sort out since it is them who did not implement a bug free environment.
Adding to that they actually manage to mismanage the aftermath of it.

I just can't respond meaningfully when all the rebuttals amount to "It's someone elses fault let them deal with it."

I don't care if it's a statement steeped in truth or not. The fact is life is not fair and sometimes you gotta pick yourself up by the britches and get on with things.

I see heaps of people in this thread complaining and saying it's unfair, but I don't see a single person actually doing something about it. I've rarely seen the community so well aligned on a single viewpoint, but the frustrating thing from my perspective is that nobody who is passionate about this issue is willing to do anything about it. Seriously. Do something about it. Help brodgar, help dole, attack rlyeh but stop wasting your time and the devs time.
